	Sportshall


	Sportshall Athletics provides a competition entry point to the sport of Athletics for participants and a springboard into the more traditional forms of track and field. Sportshall Athletics is in partnership with England Athletics to develop county teams to compete in regional & national finals. If you live, were born or go to school in Lincolnshire and fall into one of the age categories stated below why not try out for the Lincolnshire Sportshall Athletics team. Under 11s (School years 5 and 6 and are at least aged 9 on the date of competition). Under 13 (School years 7 and 8) Under 15 (School years 9 and 10) We have a fantastic and enthusiastic organising team headed up by Lisa Richardson - if you have any queries please email her.
	Our season consists of three phases:
	1) Trials
	2) Practice events for chosen athletes and reserves
	3) Regional finals

	Trials - these take place at the Meres Leisure (Grantham) centre on Saturday 2 December 2023. To take part enter here , further details here , see our Fixtures page . The closing date is Tuesday 28 November 2023. Athletes from all over the county can enter these. We will aim to select the best athletes in the county to represent Lincolnshire in the regional finals. .
	Practice events - the date and time to be confirmed We hope to have at least one practice event before the Regional finals. The practice event is likely to be at a Lincolnshire school. .
	Regional finals - This will take place on Saturday 2 March 2024 at the Meres Leisure centre, Grantham. Teams taking part in the East Midlands Region finals are: Leicestershire and Rutland, Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and Derbyshire. There is no charge if you are selected to represent the county. You also get to wear a Lincolnshire vest and will get a Lincolnshire Athletics 'representation' badge or medal.
